Mark Feiler teaches Digital and Traditional painting and drawing.

Mark has joined us teaching at the Atelier, where his traditional training at Julian Ashtons (Sydney) merges with his understanding of new mediums. Mark teaches digital painting and drawing using Photoshop, and traditional drawing in graphite, and painting in oils. 

Mark is represented by the Arusha Gallery in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Session times:

6.30 - 9.30pm Monday evenings.

9.30am - 12.30pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm Thursday daytime.

9.30am - 12.30pm and 1.00pm - 4.00pm Friday daytime.


The introductory focus of these classes is practical tuition in the understanding and application of tone.

The visual impression of the experience of seeing the world, can seem complex given the infinite variation in nature, however, by breaking the task down into small steps, Mark will provide you with a powerful tool to ensure your success in painting of 'life' in both traditional and digital mediums.

What you will need:

Traditional:
HB or 2B pencil
Kneadable eraser
A2 or A3 Cartridge paper

Mark will discuss your needs for oil painting prior to you joining him for the class.

Basic materials are available for purchase from the Atelier.

 


Digital drawing and painting:
Laptop
Photoshop CS2 or later
Wacom tablet INTUOS2 or later. A Wacom 'Bamboo' tablet is also acceptable.
