Australia Council grant programs information session

As part of our initiatives to increase the rate of Queensland applications to the Australia Council, Arts Queensland is hosting sessions at the Judith Wright Centre of Contemporary Arts Board Room on 25 March 2014 from 3:30 pm to 5:30 pm. A representative from the Australia Council will be available to speak about the Australia Council 2014 grants program generally and to answer any questions you might have about Australia Council grants. Creative Partnerships Australia - Philanthropic Mentoring Program

Creative Partnerships Australia and the Australia Council for the Arts have partnered to deliver a philanthropy mentoring program targeted at non-profit arts organisations. Ten individuals whose roles involve philanthropy in the arts will connect with executives with business, NFP and company director expertise, gaining skills and insights into business development, philanthropy and partnerships for the arts. The program is offered throughout Australia and is open to arts organisations across all art forms with an operating turnover of $2 million or more. Applications will close on 24 March 2014. LGAQ Keep Calm and Go Digital: Free Webinar Wednesday 12 March, 2.00 - 3.30pm

While there is acknowledgement of the importance of adopting digital technology, many local governments and arts and cultural organisations are daunted by the challenge, and slow to take up the opportunities. Norm Horton, Director of Feral Arts and David Fishel, Director of Positive Solutions and BoardConnect will guide you through this online workshop, helping you to understand how you can use digital technology to:

Brisbane Festival – Expressions of interest from Individual artists

Brisbane Festival is seeking Expressions of Interest from independent artists interested in having their work considered for programming in Brisbane Festival 2014. Small to medium size works with weekly presenting fees between $1,000 and $8,000 are sought. Expressions of Interest which close 7 March 2014 may include either existing work or a clear outline for new work to be premiered at Brisbane Festival. For further information go to
