Digital Painting with Mark Feiler

From Monday 24th September, Atelier Art Classes will be offering unique new classes in Digital Painting.


Mark Feiler's Digital Painting Course will guide you through a series of exercises and techniques which will enable you to translate traditional skills into Digital Media.

His classes are designed to give you the skills and experience necessary to create your own digital paint­ings using simple methods based upon traditional drawing and painting techniques.

Each lesson will be based upon a specific activity. You will be provided with the reference materials, instructions, and demonstrations needed to complete each activity.



Self-paced class on a casual basis at $38 per session, or blocks of classes can be purchases at a significant discount.

A 20% discount applies to full-time tertiary students on presentation of a current student card.


Course Requirements:

  • A basic familiarity with Adobe Photoshop
  • Laptop computer (either Apple or PC) with Photoshop installed
  • Wacom Tablet (or equivalent)
  • USB stick (for course notes Etc.)



The course will run from Monday 24 September 2012.  6.30pm - 9.30pm. You can join the class at any time afterwards.



Mark is a professional fine artist who paints traditionally and digitally. He uses time honoured traditional meth­ods of drawing and painting. Studied at the Julian Ashton Art School, and Balmoral Arts Academy.

Mark is a prize winning artist - RQAS Annual Art Contest and Exhibition, has recently exhibited in New York, and is currently working towards a new solo exhibition.
