    Untutored Sessions

Untutored Life Drawing and Painting sessions for the art community - in a friendly and focussed atmosphere.

    1. Wednesday "Sketch Club" 7:00-9:00pm

    2, 5, 10, 15 and 20 minute poses

$12 for two hours (no student discount)

Basic materials available for purchase: pencils, charcoal, drawing cartridge paper, kneadable erasers

As students are priority, their interests must be looked after. This simply means we accomodate students first, and untutored artists can fit in around them.

    2. Saturday "Long Pose" 10:00am - 4:00pm

    A 25 hour pose over 5 weeks

This session provides time to work on a drawing or painting over a significant period.

$6 per hour (no student discount), stay all day or only stay an hour or two.  Your easel place can be retained if you want to work on a painting or drawing over multiple weeks.

The lunch break is from 12:30pm until 1:30pm.

    3. 2.5 Hr Long Pose (Friday morning)

Sustained pose after short warm up poses.

    Begin at 9:30 am - 12:30 pm.

$15 for the session (no pay by hour option)

    4. Cast Drawing (Tues, Wed, Thurs, Sat)

Draw or paint around our student lesson, without tuition for $6 per hour (no student discount) within our normal class lessons.

Sustained drawing/painting is important to develep hand and eye skills, knowledge of visual concepts, drawing procedures, as well as building a familiarity with subjects such as portraiture and the figure.

Currently we have 27 antique and contemporary casts as subject matter, plus a full size skeleton and smaller skeleton to draw from as well as a range of still life objects.
